ENTEP Work Packages

The objectives of ENTEP project are pursued through a set of focused actions organised in 9 interrelated work packages (WPs), which follow a logical sequence, actively involving academic and administrative staff from all targeted PCIs and EUIs, and leading to concrete tangible and intangible results.

The project structure reflects a detailed analysis and development phase in the 1st & 2nd project years, implementation and testing of project outcomes in the 2nd & 3rd years. Partners’ respective experience and profiles have been taken into account for the division of tasks and responsibilities. Facilitating project ownership & sustainability of outputs has been another criterion for assigning roles.

This approach sustains long-term partnerships and benefit stakeholders in the target PCIs after the project end.

To produce outcomes and outputs across 9 Work Packages the tasks are clearly and fairly distributed among partners in the following way:

Work Package 1 - PREPARATION

In Work Package 1 an Analytical Report Work Group, consisting of IPC, IPPSP, PSU and JXNU experts under the leadership of UNIBO is established to analyze the current teaching practices in RU and CN HEIs, propose the improvement strategy and write a Report.

Work Package 2 - PREPARATION

Work Package 2 will prepare PCI top management and teaching staff for core development activities through training workshops at each EUI. TUD will lead this WP, and all EU partners will play a significant role due to their training expertise.

Work Package 3 - Set-up of the Centres for Teaching & Learning at PCIs

Work Package 3 is one of the key Work Packages, aiming at enhancing teaching practices. WP leader is USUE (PCIs' coordinator), supported by the EU partners due to their experience with this type of infrastructures.

Work Package 4 - DEVELOPMENT

Work Package 4 is aimed at introducing advanced pedagogical approaches and innovative methodologies at the established Centres. USUE is the leader of the Didactical Manual Development Working Group, responsible for organizing a team of academics from TUD, IPPSP, PSU and JXNU to develop the content. LJMU is the leader of the Guide Development Working Group, responsible for organizing a team of academics from IPC, USUE, UH and SU to develop the content.

Work Package 5 - DEVELOPMENT

Work Package 5 is aimed at developing modern, tailored, professional development program curricula and module syllabi for HE teacher training by PCI Development Teams under the leadership of USUE and supervision of the EUI experts in accordance with the Didactical Manual recommendations and templates suggested by the Guide. 3-days seminars on curricula and module development, focused on learning outcomes will be delivered at each PCI by the team of EUI experts from TUD, UH, LJMU, UNIBO and IPC.

Work Package 6 - DEVELOPMENT

Work Package 6 led by IPC is aimed at modernising PhD and MA curricula by introducing modules on Teaching Methodology, Pedagogy and Psychology developed by PCI teachers under the supervision of EUI experts. 28 MA and PhD students from PCIs will be selected to participate in the pedagogical study visits to TUD, UH, LJMU, UNIBO and IPC to be introduced to the contemporary teaching practices and pedagogy.

Work Package 7 - IQCWG AND EQCWG

Work Package 7, Quality ensures compliance of tasks and quality deliverables. TUD is leading WP7, with the support of the Project Internal and External Quality Control Groups created at the beginning of the project.

Internal Quality Control Working Group (IQCWG) will be the main body for internal quality control and monitoring, and will periodically approve the quality of the planned project activities and results. Progress reports will be discussed at the meetings of ENTEP Council and Minutes will be distributed among partners with the suggestions for improvement. IQCWG meetings will be in conjunction with management meetings or core project activities. Key responsibilities of this group will include: monitoring and ensuring that all project activities are carried out to an appropriately high quality standard, monitoring project results, work plan and LFM against results, evaluation and approval of the quality of training plan, materials and publications, final assessment of the quality of delivered services and trainings (analysing feedback questionnaires from users and trainees), producing 6-monthly progress reports and presenting them to the ENTEP Council.

External Quality Control Working Group (EQCWG)has been proposed by the consortium partners to undertake monitoring, provide regular feedback and who will attend ENTEP management meetings each year. The members of the group should be knowledgeable of Erasmus+ Program requirements, RU, CN and EU higher education systems, and of matters concerning teaching standards and professional development. Interim and final reports will be written by EQCWG and presented to the consortium partners and EACEA.

Work Package 8 - DSWG

Dissemination and exploitation of results is the target of Work Package 8 essential for ensuring the impact of the project and long-term strategies for the maintenance of outputs and continuation of the project efforts after its end. PSU is the leader of the dissemination work group consisting of UH, USUE, IPC and HLU.

Dissemination and Sustainability Working Group (DSWG) will identify short-term and long-term dissemination and sustainability strategies, conduct an assessment of the project and determine specific activities that can and should be continued, conduct the planning process for dissemination and sustainability, identify what resources are needed to sustain the project and make results visible as much as possible (e.g. additional funds, staff, equipment, etc.) and work toward obtaining them. To enhance visibility of the project DSWG will advise on creation of audio-visual products. A long-term collaboration will be set up with media, which will allow for project experts participating in radio and TV programs and talk-shows where educational reforms are discussed.

Work Package 9 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Finally, the Project Management is targeted by Work Package 9 with the aim of ensuring effective and smooth project implementation and the necessary reporting to the EACEA. The leader is TUD as a grant-holder, who bears the financial and legal responsibility for the proper operational, administrative and financial implementation of the entire project. All partners play an active role in collective management, reporting and providing timely feedbacks.
